5 Fighters Who Made Online Trolls Pay For What They Said

Fighters are known to be in the gym, day-in and day-out, training to take the consciousness and brain cells from opponents.

Now who in their right mind would attempt to upset a trained killer?

If it were not for the training of discipline and self-restraint in martial arts, we do not realize how many provoked practitioners would be stuck behind bars and how many societal pests would be 'six-feet-under.'

Thanks to the internet, we have bear witness to some of these attempts from keyboard warriors across the globe. Fortunately for them and their future health, we will showcase five examples of trolling gone wrong in combat sports.

Josh Neer Takes Random Dude from Facebook to The Dentist

So our first example of 'don't challenge someone who can incapacitate you,' would be Iowa's Patrick Martin, who managed to talk his way into a beat down from UFC veteran Josh Neer.

Neer revealed the messages he received online:

Neer posted a 14-second video on YouTube of himself delivering vicious elbows to a downed Martin inside his Des Moines gym.

Neer explained to BloodyElbow his side of the beating:

"Basically the guys a dumbass and been talking shit about MMA fighters for a month. On and on, I usually ignore him but this Saturday he wrote me on Facebook the message i gave. He had written 10 messages to me talking shit which I ignored, but this time I said if you really want to fight come to the gym Monday at 5:30.

I don't know what his problem is but he's a big guy, like 6-6 and 270 pounds and just acts like a bully. That what he seems like to me, just a bully.

He showed up at 6:10, 40 mins into my practice. And then I asked him if he wanted to fight Rakim or me and Rakim is bigger then me so of course he chose me."

Bleacher Report caught up with Neer in November 2015 and Neer revealed that he is now promoting and coaching Martin, who worked his way onto the team at the Roundkick Gym.

Deontay Wilder Catches Up with Infamous Internet Troll and Lets Him Last Longer Than Bermane Stiverne

Charlie Zelenoff is an internet sensation for his outlandish claims in boxing including '4,500 PSI' punches, 160-0 undefeated record and more.

Zelenoff is also known for a sparring session gone wrong with Floyd Mayweather Sr. After receiving a one-sided beat down, including getting put through the ropes, Zelenoff would run up and sucker punch Floyd Sr. from behind, and then receive another beating from a member of the gym.

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was reportedly harassed by Zelenoff for over three years until he got Zelenoff to agree to a fight in a Los Angeles gym.

Wilder spoke on what caused the issue with Zelenoff, "He said he was going to murder me. He said he was going to tape my daughter’s mouth … when dealing with my kids, that’s below the belt. That’s what really got me.”

In the clip, Zelenoff realizes he made huge mistake the second he gets touched by Wilder and makes a dash towards the door.

Dominick Cruz Beats Up 'Ninja' in Front of Alliance MMA

What happens when a self-proclaimed 'ninja' shows up to fight at the gym?

We're not talking about the pro gamer either.

In October 2008, this is exactly what happened at Alliance MMA. However, when a young Dominick Cruz is heading into a title run, you can always use an extra training partner.

As for the young fighter's 'ninja' skills, Alliance MMA fighters including Brandon Vera question their abilities, "You're not supposed to see real ninjas."

The first round proceeds with 'The Dominator' taking down the so-called martial artist and rains down punches until he taps out.

Not wanting to give an excuse of a fluke, Cruz takes him on again in a second round, starching the 'ninjutsu' with strikes.

Tara LaRosa Has Intergender Sparring Event Shut Down By Police, Does It In Gym Anyways

Former BodogFight women's bantamweight champion Tara LaRosa was one of the main pioneers to women's MMA, and a notable grappler prior to her MMA career.

Internet troll Kristopher Zylinski stated in the comments to an MMA article, '99% of women are too weak and lack the reflexes to do enough damage to stop 99% of men." When asked to compete against a female fighter, Zylinski responded that he would still have an advantage, "still 80/20 me."

LaRosa stepped up to the challenge taking on the troll, whom had zero martial arts training.

Allegedly, an hour before the challenge was to take place, with the help of police, Florida State Boxing Commission shut down the bout.

LaRosa and Zylinski rescheduled their challenge to later that month.

LaRosa would end up tapping out Zylinski twice, which by Zylinski's odds would mean he would have won that next eight exchanges.

This Bodybuilder Who Challenged Cody Garbrandt, Showed Up to Team Alpha Male and Bailed When No Love Slid Through

Due to the bizarre nature of this story, and the many deleted social media posts and videos, we may have a lack of media evidence as the prior examples, however this is well-documented online.

While Garbrandt was healing up from a recurring back issue preventing him from his first bantamweight title defense, 'No Love' was also receiving challenges from outside his weight class.

Matthew Kline Kader, also known as Shallowking, was up to fight Garbrandt on June 25, 2017, and bought plane tickets for the bout.

Garbrandt, in true Khabib Nurmagomedov fashion, sent him location.

Allegedly on that fateful June 25, Garbrandt waited around for Kader to show up, but was no where to be found. 'No Love' left his phone number at reception for Kader to call when he showed up.

Apparently when Kader arrived at the gym, he was given the number for Garbrandt, but would not call. He then went back on his live stream and announced he was leaving because Garbrandt was not at the gym at that moment.

An irate Garbrandt returned to track down the troll, who by then hightailed it out of the area.
