Chris Weidman Shows X-Rays of His Broken Leg from UFC 261 and It's Horrific

Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman went through some unfortunate circumstances at UFC 261.

Weidman suffered a brutal leg injury after unleashing a leg kick at Uriah Hall just seconds into their bout. Hall blocked the kick, which shattered Weidman's tibia and fibula in the process. The All American immediately dropped to the canvas in pain as the fight was called off, where he would be stretchered out of the Octagon and sent to the hospital.

Weidman underwent surgery on Sunday and showed the results of the doctor's handiwork.

In his Instagram video, Weidman told fans it would take about '8 weeks to walk,' and doctors said he can possibly be back to training in '6 to 12 months.'

Previous opponent Anderson Silva, who also suffered this same injury in his December 2013 rematch against Weidman, was seen practicing kicks on an exercise ball just two months following his leg break. Silva had his return bout just 13 months after injury.
