Former IMPACT Star Drew Galloway Shares Workout

Drew McIntyre is ready for his shot.

The WWE Superstar is slated to take on Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship at WrestleMania—a two-night event which airs on the WWE Network and pay-per-view on April 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. E.T. each evening—and nothing, not even a global pandemic, will keep him from making good on his chance to claim the belt.

The Men's Health crew caught up with McIntyre ahead of the event to go behind the scenes of his training and preparation for the match, which is still scheduled as most of the U.S. self-isolates in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In response to the situation, WWE reps told Men's Health that "WrestleMania will not only take place at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida, but will include multiple locations over two nights. All locations will be closed sets with only essential personnel."

McIntyre, the first Scotsman signed to WWE, comes to the main event after a falling out from the promotion—he told the MH crew he was fired after eight years. But the wrestler was candid about how that setback paved the road to his upcoming title shot. "It was my fault," he admitted. "I realized I wasn't putting as much effort in as I possibly could, so that day I changed everything about my life. I started working harder inside the ring, and I started working harder, really hard actually, in the gym to change my body."
