MMA Journeyman Found Guilty in $40K Bank Robbery

MMA fighter Sergio Da Silva has been found guilty of a $40k bank robbery in New York - and could face up to seven years in prison.

The 32-year-old was convicted of third degree robbery after jurors viewed surveillance footage of the August 2017 incident.

In New York, third degree robbery is considered a class D felony and can result in up to seven years of prison time.

An image released by cops after the incident on August 24 2017 showed Da Silva standing behind the counter, dressed in dark colours, with his mouth covered under a hooded sweatshirt.

In the clip shown to jurors, Da Silva is reportedly seen jumping on the counter and demanding cash.
