When "Dr. Death" Steve Williams came to WWE, "Brawl For All" tournament was started, introducing legitimate fights to the wrestling organization. Williams was known to be 'one of the toughest men' in wrestling and was expected to win the competition. Unfortunately, this went completely unscripted.
Gunn would win the tournament, including knocking out 'Dr Death' in the second round of the competition, killing the star-power of the their newcomer.
This would lead to a fight with pro boxer Eric 'Butterbean' Esch at WrestleMania XV.
